Amanda Toth, April 2018 Employee of the Month

Amanda Toth (Fairfield Reference) is the April 2018 Employee of the Month.

Amanda received 5 (five!) nominations, shown below:

Amanda has been taking on a lot of extra busy work as we get ever closer to migration. She has taken a lot of work away from Katrina, and has been a huge help here at LAC!

Amanda works at Lac on Thursdays. She has done a great job picking up extra duties during this migration period. When you seen stuff on Wowbrary (even though we haven’t ordered anything new in weeks) that’s because of Amanda. She also did extra order selecting in the crunch time of a couple weeks ago as we scrambled to finish off acquisitions. She has taken on a lot in Apirl and has really helped Collection Development for migration! Thanks, Amanda!”

Amanda gets my pick for employee of the month for all the extra work she has been doing for Katrina. She is also one of the people in charge of the Paranormal book club at Fairfield which has been running for over 5 years! She is a great asset to Lane and deserves to be recognized for it.

Amanda Toth has been an invaluable help in the Collection Development Dept since the migration began, working on everything from EBSCO to McNaughton Symphony testing, BookLetters to READsquared, and Wowbrary lists to additional adult selection work. She has repeatedly gone above and beyond and deserves recognition for her willingness to do whatever needs to be done to help. Thank you, Amanda!

Eh, she’s alright I guess.

Congratulations Amanda, who has been a big help throughout the Symphony migration project. She receives her choice of a $50 gift card or 4 extra hours of vacation.

Also nominated:

Caitlin Campbell (Oxford Children’s)

Caitlin is a wonderful children’s librarian. She creates amazing programs that the children love! I feel fortunate when I have the opportunity to help Caitlin with her programming. Being involved in Sew Creative allows me to see the level of joy and excitement that the kids experience during the program. It is fun to watch them create a cute project and learn a new life skill. Thank you Caitlin!
