For handling a difficult and sensitive situation with professionalism while also representing team unity.

Chad Wonsik
The Book Bike is becoming well-known in the Oxford community because of the “Leg Pumping” power and welcoming personality of one man, Chad Wonsik. Chad and the Book Bike can be found every Monday at the Oxford Community Park for the Stories, Strollers and Fun program under the gazebo and every other Saturday uptown at the Farmers Market. I work with Chad on Mondays and have SEEN what a WORK OUT it is to PEDDLE the Book Bike to the community park out and back…if his soaked t-shirt is any indication of what it takes, he is the MAN! Let me add that the soaked t-shirt is ALWAYS accompanied by one genuine smile. He truly ENJOYS the ride and our community appreciates his commitment to sharing ALL that the Lane Library has to offer.

Amanda Bull Chafin
Amanda has stepped up in a big way in the short time that she’s been here.  Amanda has volunteered to do some programming on short notice, and has received a lot of positive feedback from all patrons. She has immediately made the Tech Center a better place.

Alice Ahrens
Alice is patient with all my questions and has been a tremendous help to me and the entire staff through the catalog changeover. If you have any circulation questions at Oxford, she is the person to ask.

Alice is such an integral part of OXB for patrons and staff alike. Having worked for Lane for a while, she has worn many hats and she has gained a lot of knowledge through this. She has always been one of my go-to persons for ANY question. She pretty much always has the answer and if she doesn’t she consistently goes the extra mile to find it. This is a great quality in a coworker and she does the same for all of our patrons. Even if the day is hectic, Alice always treats everyone with warmth, kindness, generosity, and respect. I know many patrons appreciate her welcoming smile and friendliness. She also does so much to help Arvind manage the Circulation Department and is always trying to find solutions to problems staff encounter to help things run more smoothly. She really tries to make work easier for everyone else. I love Alice!!!!

Connie Van Frank
Connie’s organizational skills and creativity were vital to OXB’s 2nd place win at the Oxford Independence Day Parade. With the help of her husband, Connie put together an amazing float. She is always willing to go the extra mile.
