Award from the Coalition for a Healthy Community
Last night Oxford Lane Library was awarded a PUSH Award from the Coalition for Healthy Community. PUSH stands for People United for Safety and Health. The Coalition’s Leadership Team determines the awards and wanted to recognize OXB’s work with the Coalition but they really focused on Akiko’s service to the Kramer Breakfast Club each Wednesday and the work she does at PVA in the summer. They were very impressed with Akiko’s work and determination to help reach kids with a focus on literacy. We received this beautiful piece of stained glass representing the Coalition’s plant, the promise pledge to make healthy choices and decisions.
