Just a reminder that Sunday, May 13th at closing is the hard deadline for deleting or modifying materials in Sierra. Checkout is not affected YET.
This means….
- No deleting items
- No magazine check-in
- No McNaughton’s added
- No statuses changed, including Mending, In Processing, etc.
- No adding damage notes to item records
- No suppressing items
- No changing barcodes
When in doubt, check with Tech Services.
In cases where you must make a change to an item to address a patron situation, keep all the info needed to repeat that same process in Symphony after go-live. Symphony will not reflect any item record updates you make in Sierra after Sunday, May 13.
