May 23, 2023 was officially “Emma Darby, Connor Lewis, Audrey Pipkin, Hanna Riesenberg and Valerie Simmons Day” in the City of Fairfield. These Fairfield Lane Library staff members and patrons were recognized for quickly coming to the aid of a patron in need earlier this year. Their actions, along with those of the Fairfield Fire Department and Mercy Hospital, saved this patron’s life.
